Today I attempted to do two things I've never done so far. The outcome: not bad, not bad at all if I don't say so myself :)
First I was inspired when I saw this post from Giang. It's gradient nails done simply without any sponge. I've always wanted to try gradient nails but was always lazy. Seeing how quick and easy Giang made it, I decided to try it. Also because I had most of the same colors :p

Right to left of the order I used: Orly nail defense, OPI wocka wocka, OPI gettin miss piggy with it, OPI crowne me already, China Glaze fairy dust, and Poshé top coat. I normally use Seche Vite but I ran out.

Not bad even though you can see where some of the colors end and begin lol. But from far away it looks really nice though. I can't stop staring at it while at work :p
The other thing I tried was to make Mapo Tofu. A dish with ground meat, tofu, and a normally reddish sauce. I bought the sauce and added in tofu and meatless ground meat lol. During the week, I limit my meat intake just cause of all the bad stuff I've read about it. At one point, I was a pescatarian (I really didn't label myself anything) in which I only ate seafood. Being one, I was at my thinnest of 105lbs. But after two years, I cracked and gave in to meat. One reason was because I felt silly going out with friends and avoiding meat, yet I didn't want to tell them the truth. The other was because I truly love food. Going back to limiting meat, I do it for two reasons: 1. the bad things about it (ie injections of hormones, ethical reasons) and 2. without it, I was at my thinnest. So in hopes of having less weird stuff in my system and staying at a comfortable weight, I choose to eat it just on the weekends. But if it's called on any given day, I won't deny :p Okay enough rambling.

Not bad for my first time! I bought mild though so after this pic, I covered it in sriracha lol. Next time I'll try the hot one. Anyway, happy hump day!
Miracles! This morning I stepped on the scale and to my surprise, I was 120.3lb! I guess it's when you don't try, you lose weight. Or at least that's what it seems to me.
I also officially started training for my marathon. Slowly but surely. For my first run after having not run in 2 months, I ran 3 miles in 32:07. Not bad esp cause it wasn't on the treadmill like it normally is. The only downside is I'm such a noob, I couldn't figure out how to use the Nike app! So as I'm walking around the neighborhood, I downloaded RunKeeper. It did the job so I didn't mind. It timed me, did the distance and calories burned. Pretty cool! But since I see so many use the Nike one, I'm determined to get it working! Anyway, that was my wonderful morning. Now I'm just on my lunch break :p

Cupcake! I don't deprive myself :)
I'm a tad bit behind on posts. Lately blog press has crashed on me after a long post (I sadly didn't save). Out of frustration, I stopped blogging for a bit.
After a long day at work, I got home to find a mini package came for me from Luna. I didn't expect anything but I guess it was complimentary gift for email subscribers. It was their chocolate peppermint stick nutrition bar and a matching scented lip balm! The lip balm is pretty amazing. I'm not sure if it's sold in stores yet. Such a nice little surprise!

The bf and I then headed out to grab dinner before going to Ski Dazzle.

OOTD: Forever21 Hello Kitty cardigan, H&M black jeans, and Hello Kitty Vans.
We went to eat at Waikiki Hawaiian Grill in Tustin for dinner. We originally wanted to eat at Oki Doki but they were too packed and we were trying to get to Ski Dazzle. Nonetheless we were still satisfied.

My BBQ mix (chicken, beef, and short rib)

His spam loko moko. It was pretty good! After dinner we went to the LA convention center for Ski Dazzle.

I bought this shirt and some random anti fog stuff for glass surfaces such as glasses, goggles, windshields, etc. The vendor did a demonstration on my glasses and then I was sold. I'm very gullible lol! But this time I think it works haha!

I thought those helmets were funny! I don't care how fashionable they can come in, I still wouldn't wear one...

The bf left with a new jacket, gloves and socks. I didn't get any gear since I got everything at Skin Dazzle two years ago hehe.

After we got back to OC, I made a pit stop at yogurt land. As you can see, my diet has failed again. I don't think I've ever tried to lose weight during the holidays and now I can see why. It's too difficult ESP with all the seasonal foods!! But because I gained 10lbs in Hawaii prior to the holidays, I have to lose them... Here's another try tomorrow! Lol

Counting down to Xmas with a chocolate a day! Yay! Lol
The bf's dryer sucks ass so I had 4 loads of laundry built up. Yesterday I decided to take it all to my mom's with my iPad and Harry Potter novel in tote. When I got there, my sis asked for a ride home from work. After I picked her up, we went to a McDonald's so I could see which Hello Kitty happy meal they had I stock. They ended up having one I already had.

Parked right outside, was a seatless bike! Who does that?! It can only be found in the ghetto on Harbor Blvd lol! After that pit stop, we went to The Block in Orange for a bit.

My sis trying on boots. She left empty handed.

I on the other hand, received a Jamba Juice (matcha green tea blast). My sis finally has a job so she was nice enough to treat me to some Jamba Juice.

After a quick browse, we had dinner with my mama. We went to Full moon for some sushi.

Volcano roll, tataki roll (spicy tuna with seared tuna on top), and crunchy roll.

After dinner, I finished up my laundry. I did 3 out of 4 lol! When I went home to my mom's, I had intentions of just doing laundry. I had no idea I would be spending time with family. It was nice way to spend my day off :)
